EP resin is a high-performance cross-linkable thermosetting polymer with active epoxy groups in its molecular structure. Unlike other thermosets mainly used for single structural parts, EP resin integrates multiple functions including insulation, sealing, bonding, filling and anti-corrosion.
EP resin possesses extremely high breakdown voltage and ultra-low dielectric loss. Its internal cured structure is uniform and dense without microscopic pores, enabling continuous and stable insulation under high voltage, high frequency and strong electromagnetic interference environments. It effectively prevents partial discharge, electric creepage and insulation breakdown, delivering reliable electrical protection for high-voltage transformers, power modules and precision electronic components.
EP resin has excellent bonding affinity for metal, plastic, glass fiber, PCB substrates and composite materials. It can tightly bond heterogeneous materials and fill tiny assembly gaps completely. After curing, it forms an integrated rigid structure that resists vibration impact and mechanical loosening, greatly improving the overall structural stability of electronic modules and electrical assemblies.
Different from ordinary plastics with large curing deformation, EP resin features extremely low curing shrinkage, realizing void-free seamless sealing. It can completely isolate external moisture, dust, oil vapor and corrosive media, achieving full waterproof, moisture-proof and dust-proof protection for sealed electronic cavities and precision electrical parts, and avoiding equipment failure caused by environmental erosion.
Cured EP resin is chemically inert, resisting long-term erosion from acids, alkalis, salt spray, industrial solvents and mineral oil. It will not swell, crack or age and fail in harsh chemical and marine environments. It is widely used for surface anti-corrosion coating and internal isolation protection of industrial equipment.
EP finished products maintain stable physical and electrical properties in a wide temperature range. They resist thermal shock and alternating cold and hot cycles, with no warpage, deformation or performance attenuation after long-term operation.
