Amino Molding Compounds: Composition, Properties & Application Scope






Introduction


Amino plastic, generally called electric jade powder, refers to amino molding compound. It belongs to thermoset plastics, mainly consisting of urea-formaldehyde resin (UF), melamine-formaldehyde resin (MF) and fillers such as cellulose. It is manufactured from polycondensates of melamine or urea and formaldehyde, mixed with wood fiber, curing agents, lubricants, pigments and other functional additives.


This material delivers outstanding comprehensive performance: excellent heat resistance, flame retardancy, low smoke emission and stable dimensional accuracy. It features superior dielectric strength and arc resistance. Different from phenolic molding compound (bakelite), amino molding compounds support unrestricted color matching, which greatly expands its application boundaries.
